Context

HackUConn 2025 Winner - Team Project

Disco streamlines the way student club/organization meetings and events are presented to students, optimizing scheduling and reducing stress. It tailors to specific interests and the availability of the student, eliminating one of the largest obstacles in undergraduate club engagement. Our app encourages students to be actively involved in their community, which contributes to a better quality of life.

Problem

Students struggle to balance demanding course loads and personal well-being, neglecting discovery and social engagement in university, which leads to stress and decision paralysis.

Approach

User Experience Research Collection methodology: Questionnaires, user interviews.

We brainstormed several ideas and features and created a flowchart for our app.

Then we split up the work between us based on our strengths. One focused on development, one focused on our pitch, and I focused on UX/UI.

Solution

By employing Disco as a tool in the Universities of Tomorrow, students have a greater ability to explore their diverse interests. Disco will eliminate stress and uncertainty, giving students their time back.
