In order to actively engage with the art, users should be able to curate their own personal collections, caption, and share their favorite pieces.

• "Endless” randomized feed of art pulled from museum APIs, and be able to display the artist, year, medium, size, and more when a particular piece is clicked.

• Then, a user can favorite it or add it to a collection, which they can create and organize.

• A user can add their own captions to the piece as well, as a way to reflect on their thoughts

• Featured artwork of the day that rotates every 24 hours based on the user's timezone

Offline First

Making the app usable even without any internet connection

• All the collections, favorites, and captions can be saved locally on a user's device

REST API Integration

Sourcing public art from art institutions that are well-documented and aim to engage the public with art

• Used the Art Institute of Chicago's API

Sleek, luxurious, minimal style with intuitive UX. 

• UX complements the concept of exploring, discovering, and “collecting” art

• Use of black and white, highlighting the artworks

• Modals and Lightboxes to view the artwork up close
